groups are always welcome for train rides on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic
Railway. The 1-hour excursion into the natural wonder of the Lehigh
Gorge State Park is an ideal event to enjoy while visiting the
Historic Downtown of Jim Thorpe, PA.
Your group can relax and ride comfortably in 1920-style passenger
coaches pulled by powerful locomotives… a ride your group will never
forget. Shopping, dining, lodging and
tourist attractions are literally across the street from the
historic Jim Thorpe Train Station. A ride on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic

- For your protection, each passenger must have a
ticket… regardless of age.
- Every ticket-holder is guaranteed a seat, but seats are not
assigned. Seating is on a first come - first serve basis.
Note: Due to the popularity of train rides in OCTOBER,
we do not offer group discounts or advance ticket sales during this
month. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and
will be available for purchase at the Ticket Booth on the day
you want to ride. Each train can hold a large capacity of
riders, but we do suggest arriving early.
RESERVATIONS
To guarantee your satisfaction, advance ticket purchases for groups
are required. In order to help you organize your trip, tickets
will be mailed to the group leader. Or, you can pick-up tickets at the
Ticket Booth Window after 9:30AM on the day of your reserved train

- Handicap access to the train is available at the Jim Thorpe
Station. Advance notice is requested.
- Our train is family-friendly! Smoking and alcoholic beverages
